BB Gun/Air Rifle Classes

The purpose of this course is to teach Scouters how to become a BB Gun RangeMaster. It is a safety course for adults who are interesting in working with Cub and Webelos Scouts. This four hour course is designed to teach you about air guns, what types of projectiles to use, safety, the fundamentals of shooting, and how to set up and safely run a BB gun range for any Cub Scout event for your den, pack, district or Circle Ten Council. This is the current presentation for use when running a BB Gun range as used by some districts in Circle Ten.

Any one with the NRA Rifle Instructor rating can also teach this course to certify BSA BB Gun Range Master for their unit and/or district. Here is the current presentation for the committee’s combined BB Gun and Archery RangeMaster course. If you have USA Archery Level I certification also, you can teach the Archery portion of the course to certify adults also.

If you are running a class for a district and would like to open it up for other leaders from other districts to attend please email C10ShootingSports@gmail.com with the information and we can post it on our calendar for you. You can download the above referenced manuals/presentations to use in teaching a class if you are already an NRA Rifle Instructor.
